Custom Pot Shard Bolo Tie 2009
Sterling Silver with Natural Red Mountain Turquoise
Owner: Bill Murdoch (Nevada)
In February 2007, Mark Stevens began replicating the ancient broken pieces of pottery found around Laguna Pueblo, New Mexico. The replica pieces are made into wearable pieces of jewelry. The detailed paint designs of the original shards are beautifully and accurately captured in a 3-dimensional format. Each replica is created in sterling silver and is entirely made by hand (utilizing an overlay technique).

These replicas are a beautiful way of honoring our ancestors and permanently preserve their unique artwork.
These wearable pieces of history are replicated only one time. After which, the original shard is returned to where it belongs.
Enjoy!
